Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account data: your email address and password (stored securely by our authentication provider, Supabase).
• Gift recipient profiles: the details you enter in the gift quiz — a recipient's name, relationship, age range, interests, budget, occasion, and similar preferences. These describe gift recipients, not you, and are visible only to your account.
• Usage analytics: anonymous page analytics via Vercel Analytics. We do not use advertising trackers and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

How we use it

Recipient profiles are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate gift ideas, and product searches are performed via ScraperAPI to match ideas to real Amazon products. These processors receive only what is needed to generate recommendations — never your email or account credentials. We do not sell your data.

Affiliate links

As an Amazon Associate, Giftfindr earns from qualifying purchases. Product links may include an affiliate tag; this does not change the price you pay and sends no personal data to Amazon.

Data retention & deletion

Your data is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account — and all recipients, gift results, and favorites with it — at any time from the app's settings, or by contacting us via support. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
